IFC5 > JSON

We at DAQS are very happy to see that IFC 5 will adopt JSON as its primary data serialization format. The adoption of JSON facilitates data exchange and management, aligning with modern web technologies and programming practices. This makes us happy because the rule engine of DAQS.IO processes json files with the query language JSONata. This means we can process IFC5 files directly. Of course IFC 5 release date is far away but in the mean time you could get get fluent in json, prepare your skillsets for IFC 5 and getting Revit model data to top quality?

What is JSONata:

JSONata is a lightweight query and transformation language designed specifically for working with JSON data.

Why JSONata:

How does it benefit Revit data quality? DAQS extract Revit data to JSON and with JSONata we query the data for what we need and what it should comply to. Basically all the rules we make for Revit are in JSON.
