This Privacy Policy applies specifically to DAQS Assist, an Autodesk Revit add-in developed and published by DAQS B.V.
It describes how data is processed when using the DAQS Assist application inside Autodesk Revit.

1. Scope of this policy
DAQS Assist is a desktop add-in that runs inside Autodesk Revit. This policy applies only to data processed by the DAQS Assist add-in during its use in Revit projects.
This policy does not apply to:

General website usage (daqs.io)

Marketing communications
-
Non-Revit DAQS services unless explicitly stated
2. Data processed by the DAQS Assist
2.1 Revit model data
DAQS Assist processes Revit model data locally within the user’s Revit environment for the purpose of model validation, analysis, and reporting.
This may include:

Element parameters and parameter values
-
Family and type metadata
-
Project information and settings
-
Validation results and rule evaluation outputs
By default:

No Revit model geometry is transmitted
-
No Revit model files are uploaded
-
Processing occurs locally on the user’s machine
2.2 Personal data
DAQS Assist does not intentionally collect personal data.
Depending on the Revit environment and configuration, the application may have access to:

Revit username
-
Revit project metadata that may contain user-defined names
This data is used solely to provide functionality within the application and is not used for profiling, advertising, or marketing purposes.
3. Data transmission and cloud services
3.1 Local-only usage
DAQS Assist processes all Revit model data locally within the user’s Autodesk Revit environment.
The application does not transmit or upload Revit model data, geometry, parameters, or validation results outside the user’s system.
When DAQS Assist is used in local-only mode:

All processing remains on the user’s system

No data is transmitted to DAQS servers

No data is shared with third parties
3.2 Configuration data downloaded from DAQS platform
When DAQS Assist is connected to a DAQS project, the application downloads configuration data from the DAQS platform in order to perform data validation.
This configuration data may include:

Validation rules
-
Rule metadata
-
Lookup tables
-
Reference datasets required for rule evaluation
This data:

Is provided by DAQS
-
Does not contain customer Revit model data
-
Is used solely to configure validation behaviour inside Revit
DAQS Assist does not upload any Revit model data, validation results, or project information to DAQS or to any third party.
All Revit model data remains within the user’s local Revit environment.
4. Data sharing and third parties
DAQS Assist does not share application data with third parties by default.
If cloud services are used:

Data is processed only on infrastructure controlled by DAQS or its contracted service providers

Any service providers are required to apply data protection measures consistent with this policy

DAQS does not provide application data to advertising networks, analytics platforms, or data brokers
5. Data retention and deletion
5.1 Local data
DAQS Assist does not persistently store Revit model data locally beyond the active Revit session unless explicitly saved by the user (e.g. exported reports).
5.2 Cloud data
If data is uploaded to DAQS services:

Data is retained only for the duration necessary to provide the service

Data is retained for the term of the customer’s agreement or until deletion is requested

Upon termination or deletion request, data will be removed within a reasonable timeframe
6. User rights, consent, and data deletion
Users may:

Request access to data stored by DAQS

Request correction or deletion of stored data
-
Revoke consent for data processing by discontinuing use of DAQS Assist

DAQS will respond to requests in accordance with applicable data protection regulations.
7. Security measures
DAQS applies appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect data processed by DAQS Assist, including:

This policy may be updated to reflect changes in functionality or regulatory requirements.
