Portfolio

Our portfolio showcases a selection of projects that highlight what we do best: combining technical expertise with practical solutions. From smart Revit plugins to web integrations with Autodesk APIs, we’ve helped clients streamline their workflows, enhance collaboration, and bring greater efficiency to their BIM processes. Each project reflects our focus on automation, interoperability, and delivering real-world value. Take a look and discover how we turn complex challenges into smart digital tools.

DAQS developed a Revit plugin and a web-based dashboard that enables the checking and validation of 3D models against defined rules, industry standards, and best practices.

The dashboard provides clear visualizations that offer insights into both the quality of the model and its role within the overall project. This supports project teams in identifying issues early, ensuring compliance, and maintaining consistency across disciplines.

The Dashboard also facilitates checking IFC models and reports back with a report.

The Revit plugin gives designers real-time feedback by highlighting exactly where improvements can be made within the model.

For Dura Vermeer, we developed the ProtoType solution, which enables standard models to be easily placed into Forma from Revit.

With a custom Revit plugin, various standard models can be directly imported into Forma, complete with accurate model data. This allows Dura Vermeer to perform more in-depth analyses with the most current and detailed models, without manual data transfer.

The result is a faster workflow, reduced chance of errors, and better insight into the design and construction process through advanced analyses in Forma.

For Dura Vermeer, we developed a ‘PartnerCard’ solution that reads, validates, and converts IFC models from Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) into order files for suppliers—such as for doors or other building products like stairs.

The solution checks the model for product specifications and validation rules, then generates an export file that suppliers can use directly. This file is also automatically written back to the ACC environment, keeping the entire chain up to date.

The PartnerCard is fully configurable: specific validations and export formats can be defined per supplier and product type. This makes it a powerful link between BIM models and logistics processes.

  • Autodesk Construction Cloud - Partner cards

For BAM, we researched the possibilities of using form data from the Autodesk Construction Cloud to automate the reporting of housing completions to the ‘Stichting Waarborgfonds Koopwoningen’ (SWK).

We analyzed how form data could be extracted and translated into the correct format for transmission via the SWK APIs. The result was a clear report with concrete steps toward a future-proof integration between the two systems.

This research forms the foundation for further digitization of the delivery process—less manual work, fewer errors, and better alignment with external quality assurance systems.

We delivered a hands-on training to VolkerWessels on setting up an Angular web application that communicates with Autodesk Platform Services (APS).

Participants learned how to read and display data from the Autodesk Construction Cloud—such as projects, folders, and items—in their own web environment. This forms the basis for building user-friendly dashboards, portals, or management tools that integrate seamlessly into their construction process.

Through this training, VolkerWessels invests in developing internal tools that better support their workflow and maximize value from the Autodesk ecosystem.

We provided a focused Python training for VolkerWessels, tailored specifically to working within Dynamo.

The training helped modelers and engineers develop their own scripts and automate advanced Dynamo workflows. This gave them more control over data, modeling logic, and repeatable processes within Revit projects.

With this knowledge, VolkerWessels can now build custom automations more quickly that better align with their BIM strategy and project goals.

For VolkerWessels, we delivered a solution that enables quantity management directly from a 3D model in the browser using the Autodesk Web Viewer (APS).

Users can visually select and manage which elements count toward quantities, after which the data is automatically sent to the Relatics environment through a system integration.

This approach provides real-time insight into quantities, reduces manual processing, and ensures tight integration with VolkerWessels’ existing project management processes.

For Wienerberger, we developed a custom Revit plugin that enables quick and accurate placement of expansion joints in BIM models.

The plugin assists in placing various types of joints and generates a clear report of all the joints placed. This speeds up the design process and reduces the chance of construction errors.

This tool helps Wienerberger ensure quality and consistency in their architectural models—fully integrated into their Revit workflow.

For Royal Haskoning, we developed a solution that allows users to place security devices such as key scanners, iris scanners, and alarm systems directly in a 3D model via the browser.

Using the Autodesk Web Viewer (APS), it is determined where a device is needed between two security zones. The selected positions are automatically saved in the Revit model—without any manual modeling work.

This approach allows security plans to be easily and visually integrated into the BIM model, even for users without Revit knowledge.

During the international Autodesk Hackathon of 2020, DAQS won the award for Best Workflow Automation. We developed an automated solution that, via Autodesk Platform Services (formerly Forge), automatically generates openings in BIM models—precisely where air ducts intersect with walls.

This smart workflow saves modelers a significant amount of time and prevents errors in the coordination between installations and architectural elements. A concrete example of how we accelerate and improve construction processes through automation.
