We make Revit faster!

DAQS analyses Revit models

on BIM execution plans, laws and regulations, Revit performance improvement options, best practices, naming conventions and company specific rules.

DAQS does the boring and tedious work for you by automating the bulk work, freeing you up to do what you are good at. DAQS provides actionable insights and tools to people in the following roles:

BIM modelers Analyse Revit models on compliancy to rules and specification, easily find elements in Revit.
BIM coordinators: Provide easy to read dashboards with project insights and guide attention to there where this is needed.
BIM Managers: Spot trends and statistics across projects to support automation development and business direction.

DAQS has also developed a plugin for Revit that help the users find and fix the found issues.

Peruse the topics below and contact us to discus how DAQS can assist you, your team and your projects in improving performance and assuring data quality to your customers.

Let us show you how DAQS can find why your projects are suffering from performance degradation.

If you can answer any of these questions with yes then we should talk about how DAQS can help you improve Revit load performance.

Revit load performance questions
  • Does your company struggle with large Revit files? (bigger than 300 mb.)
  • Do your projects have many different disciplines from sub contractors? (many linked files)
  • Do your company engineers wait for more then 10 minutes to open a Revit file?
  • Do your company engineers  experience slow view operations? (zoom, pan, orbit and opening views)

If you can say yes to any of these questions then we have a solution for you! Let us schedule a call to show and discuss how we can help you improve Revit performance.

Let us show you how DAQS can find where and why your projects are suffering from performance degradation.

If you can answer any of these questions with yes then we should talk about how DAQS can help you improve Revit view regeneration performance.

Revit view regeneration performance questions
  • Do your engineers wait long for Revit view operations to finish?
  • Do your engineers not know what is causing the slow views?
  • Do your company engineers  experience slow view operations?

If you can say yes to any of these questions then we have a solution for you! Let us schedule a call to show and discuss how we can help you improve Revit performance.

Revit view regeneration performance is the time it takes to do things like:

  • opening views
  • zoom
  • pan
  • orbit
  • temporary (un)hide elements
  • apply filters
  • changing visibility and graphics
  • etc.

Let us show you how DAQS can find why your users are experiencing degraded performance when trying to edit elements.

If you can answer these questions with yes then we should talk about how DAQS can help you improve Revit element editing performance.

Revit element editing performance
  • Do your engineers often have to wait long when making modfications in the model? (More than 5 seconds)
    • During geometry edits
    • During parameter edits

If they are experiencing these kind of delays then contact us.

Revit data quality questions
  • Does your company have to deal with different BIM execution plans for every project?
  • Does your company have to deal with different rules and regulations?
  • Do your BIM coordinators spend a lot of time checking Revit / IFC models?
  • Do your company engineers  get a lot of issue spam?
  • Do you face difficulties automating tasks because of inconsistent data?

If you can say yes to any of these questions then we have a solution for you! Let us schedule a call to show and discuss how we can help you improve Revit data quality.

DAQS analyses Revit models. The DAQS service offers two distinct different ways of analysing files with different purposes.

Local analysis are to assist the user to find those elements that are not compliant with the set rules & specifications of the project. No need to create IFC files and get the results back in issue spam.

Cloud analyses are used to be able to state that a certain model version at a designated CDE are compliant to the agreed upon rules and specifications.

DAQS offers two disinct different ways of analysing Revit files to support the typical ISO19650 ways of working.

Models in WIP state --> Local analysis

Models in published or shared state --> Cloud analysis.

DAQS provides many out-of-the-box rules for Revit models to be checked upon. These rules check models for performance issues, best practises and confliciting parameters. DAQS also offers models to be checked upon standards like naming conventions and country specific rules.

The rules are hosted on the DAQS servers so that every collaborator can use the same set of rules and that the cloud and local rules are the same as well.

The result are either directly shown in Revit (local analysis) or in a dashboard accesible by any browser if a users has the necessary credentials.

Define project rules for all project collaboraters to use.

If external users do not have access to DAQS local analysis then they can use the cloud analysis.

Local analysis are done of a users workstation and are compliant to the rule of not using cloud servers.

Cloud analysis are done on the Autodesk Forge servers which currently resides on US territories Autodesk have indicated that there might be European based Forge servers in the future.

The rules for the projects are stored at the DAQS servers which are located in the Netherlands. The DAQS assist plugin for Revit reads the project rules from the DAQS servers.

Be aware that DAQS offers many benefits even if the cloud analysis is not an option for your companies projects.
